Volunteering your time to come along for the camps, help coordinate the camps and participate in awareness programs.
Donations:
- The villages that we conduct screening programs are approx 100 kms away from Bangalore. The entire team travels every week to the villages to conduct the camp. Mahati Trust is an NGO registered as a wholly charitable trust U/s 12A (a) of IT Act 1961 and recognized U/s 80G of the IT act. To cover the operational costs, medicines costs (we supply medicines to the women during the camps), pathologists costs and transportation costs, we seek donations from donors.
- Mahati Trust received its tax exempt status under Section 12A in June 2012 and its approval under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act 1961 in November 2012. The 80G 5(vi) of the Income Tax Act 1961 approval allows Indian citizens a tax break on donations.
